Abstract:
The present invention is a foreign body removal device 7 which removes a foreign body 13 in a medium, such as a refrigerant 12 circulating through a circulation path. The foreign body removal device 7 is characterized by comprising: a foreign body precipitating unit 8 which is connected to the circulation path and causes the foreign body 13 to precipitate; a foreign body separating unit 9 which separates the foreign body 13 precipitated at the foreign body precipitating unit 8 from the foreign body precipitating unit 8; a first pressure open/close means 11 which is disposed at the bottom of the foreign body precipitating unit 8, and opens/closes according to the pressure in the circulation path; and a foreign body discharge pipe 10 which connects the bottom of the foreign body precipitating unit 8 and the foreign body separating unit 9 through the first pressure open/close means 11. Using the foreign body removal device 7, it is possible to remove the foreign body 13 in the medium circulating through the circulation path. It is also possible to suppress the rise and reflux of the removed foreign body 13 into the circulation path, and to easily discharge the removed foreign body 13 to the outside.
