Abstract:
Disclosed are: a forged billet which enables the production of a forged product (e.g., a wheel made from a light alloy) having excellent and uniform mechanical strength; a wheel made from a light alloy, which is produced from the forged billet; and a process for producing the wheel made from a light alloy.
Specifically disclosed is a forged billet (10) which is produced by forging a light metal alloy to produce a forged billet (4) and compressing the forged billet (4) by applying a pressure, and which has a Charpy impact value of 15 J/cm2 or more as measured based on the Charpy impact test in accordance with JIS-Z2242. The forged billet (10) can be used suitably as various industrial members.
