Abstract:
A form rotary dresser, wherein the outer circumferential face thereof that is in contact with a grinding stone has an area on which diamond abrasive grains are disposed dispersedly and a slit area on which no diamond abrasive grains are disposed. A plurality of slit areas is provided inclined with respect to the axis of rotation. Along the edge on the downstream side of the slit area in the direction of rotation, a plurality of octahedron diamond abrasive grains is disposed with one face of the octahedron being parallel to the outer circumferential face.
