Abstract:
Compounds capable of meeting ardent needs for blue compounds which can attain a good reproducibility in dyeing (e.g. printing) cellulosic fibers with reactive dyes to give blued fibers excellent in light and chlorine water fastness and reduced in facing. Specifically, formazan compounds represented by general formula (I) in free acid form, a method for dyeing cellulosic fibers therewith, and the dyed fibers thus obtained. In said formula, R represents hydrogen, sulfo, hydroxyl, halogeno, alkyl having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, alkoxyl having 1 to 4 carbon atoms or carboxyl; and M represents copper or nickel.
