Title:
FORMED COAL PRODUCTION METHOD
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2015/098329
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
In a formed coal production method wherein coarse-ground coal (10) is compression-molded to produce formed coal (20), the coarse-ground coal (10) is separated into a large particle diameter group (11), a medium particle diameter group (12), and a small particle diameter group (13) in such a way that the proportion of the total weight of the medium particle diameter group (12) and the small particle diameter group (13) with respect to the weight of the coarse-ground coal (10) falls in the range of 30 to 60% by weight when the coarse-ground coal (10) is separated into three groups comprising the large particle diameter group (11) having an average particle size Db, the medium particle diameter group (12) having an average particle size Dm (with Dm < Db), and the small particle diameter group (13) having an average particle size Ds (with Ds < Dm and 5 ≤ Db/Ds ≤ 10), the medium particle diameter group (12) is finely ground so as to have an average particle size that is smaller than Ds to obtain a second small particle diameter group (14), then, the large particle diameter group (11), the small particle diameter group (13), and the second small particle diameter group (14) are mixed along with a binder (15) and water (16), and compression formed to produce the formed coal (20).
