Abstract:
The present invention relates to a forward osmosis membrane for seawater desalination, and to a method for manufacturing same. The forward osmosis membrane of the present invention comprises: a composite membrane structure provided with a nonwoven fabric layer; a hydrophilic polymer layer; and a polyamide layer. Water smoothly flows into a draw solution from a raw water part through a membrane by means of the hydrophilic polymer layer formed on the nonwoven fabric layer. Thus, water permeability and flux in an osmosis direction can be improved, contamination resistance and chemical resistance can be secured by the polyamide layer, and the reverse diffusion of solutes of a draw solution in a reverse osmosis direction can be minimized. Accordingly, the forward osmosis membrane of the present invention can be useful for high concentration seawater desalination.
