Abstract:
A forwarding node-based automatic upgrade method for a terminal device, and a forwarding node. The method comprises: forwarding node. The method comprises: when the forwarding node monitors that there is data of Internet of Things (IoT), which comprises the type of a new terminal device and the operation system (OS) version number of the new terminal device, initiated by the new terminal device within a wireless coverage range of the forwarding node, identifying whether a target terminal device has been connected within the wireless coverage range, the type of the target terminal device being same as that of the new terminal device, and the OS version number of the target terminal device being lower than that of the new terminal device: if the target terminal device has been connected, reporting, by means of a filtering gateway, to a convergence unit a system upgrade package acquisition request comprising the operation system version number of the new terminal device, and sending to the target terminal device the operation system upgrade package corresponding to the operation system version number of the new terminal device sent by the convergence unit by means of the filtering gateway, so as to upgrade the OS. Said method realizes automatic upgrade of the OSs of mass terminal devices, improving the upgrade efficiency of the OSs of the mass terminal devices.
