Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a foundation improving structure that can reduce the amount of settlement and the volume of improvement further compared with a conventional foundation improving structure including a grid-like improving structure. [Solution] A foundation improving structure 1 comprises an upper improving structure 2 having a horizontal planar shape, and a lower improving structure 3 having a grid shape. The depth of the lower improving structure 3 is increased stepwise from an outer peripheral part of the foundation improving structure 1 toward a central part of the foundation improving structure 2. In this way, the ground contact pressure of the foundation improving structure 1 is balanced between the outer peripheral part and the central part. Compared with a conventional foundation improving structure including a grid-like improving structure, the absolute amount of settlement can be suppressed, and unequal settling can be mitigated due to a reduction in the relative amount of settlement. Furthermore, because the volume of the foundation improving structure 1 can be reduced, construction cost can be lowered.
