Abstract:
A four-stroke engine according to one aspect of the present invention is capable of operating using fuel including hydrogen gas, and is provided with: a crank case in which a ventilation opening is formed; a ventilation flow passage linking the outside of the crank case and the ventilation opening; and a ventilation fan which is provided in the ventilation flow passage to forcibly discharge an amount of hydrogen gas that enables the concentration of hydrogen gas inside the crank case to be lower than a lower limit of a flammable range from the inside to the outside of the crank case, together with a gas other than hydrogen gas.
