A four-wheel drive vehicle power transmission device is provided with: a main driving wheel differential device that allocates power from a power source to left and right main driving wheels; a propeller shaft that transmits power from the power source via a transfer case; a ring gear to which power is transmitted from the propeller shaft; a driven wheel differential device that allocates power input from the ring gear via the rotating shaft to left and right driven wheels; a main driving wheel-side disconnection/connection mechanism that disconnects or connects the transmission of power from the power source to the propeller shaft; and a driven wheel-side disconnection/connection mechanism that disconnects or connects the transmission of power from the ring gear to the driven wheel differential device. The ring gear, the driven wheel-side disconnection/connection mechanism, and the driven wheel differential device are disposed in that order along the axial direction of the rotating shaft of the ring gear, while the diameter of the rotating shaft of the ring gear is made smaller than the diameter of the driven wheel differential device so as to decrease the radial size of a driven wheel-side power transmission device.
