Title:
FOURSTROKE-ENGINE WITH NONCONSTANT COMPRESSION
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2004/020801
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Fourstroke engine with cylinder head going down the cylinder for adjustment of compression (4). Cylinder head has only adjusting clevis as movable parts (4). The todays known valve tecnic is being removed and replaced with a membran valve for suction of gasses and turn valve for exhaust (1-4). Cylinder head is being adjusted up and down the cylinder by that the adjusting clevis turns a threaded bolt integrated in the cylinder head for each cylinder. The adjusting clevis are driven by hydraulic, electric or mecanical power.

Claims:
1. Fourstroke engine with variable compression. Membran valve and turn valve are situated in the cylinder wall (1).
2. Fourstroke engine with respect on'claim 1, has membran valve for suction of gasses, turn valve for exhaust driven by cogbelt (1).
3. Fourstroke engine with respect on claims 12, has cylinder head with adjusting clevis for compression (5).
4. Fourstroke engine with respect on i claims 13, has cylinder head which goes down the cylinder and thightens<BR> with compression springs (4). Cylinder head are being adjusted up and down in the cylinder for to vary compression with different RPM by a threaded bolt integrated in the cylinder head (4).
5. Fourstroke engine with respect on claims 114, has adjusting clevis for variable compression situated in the cylinder head with hydraulic, electronic or mecanical power (5).
Description:
Fourstroke-engine with nonconstant compression.

The new fourstroke-engine works without the wellknown valve situation, without collar, without valve suspension nor valve guard. Suction of gasses to burn realizes via a inlet canal in the cylinder wall.

The new diaphragm valve in the inlet canal closens and opens with overpressure/underpressure in the cylinder, without any mecanical influence. The outblow of exhaust/gasses are transmitted through the canal in the cylinderwall to a cogbelt-driven turn valve. The exhaust canal has been placed underneath the compression spring on the piston, to avoid direct pressure on the turn valve. The explosion pressure happens directly on the piston and the cylinder head. The pistons oilspring is situated in such matter that when the piston stands on top, the oilspring comes under the inlet canal. The piston-and oil spring get locked so that the spring openings do not come towards the suction/exhaust canals. The new fourstroke engine works without collar, valve springs, valve conducts and has therefore less friction and heatexpansion and gets less effect loss (20%). The construction of valves in the cylinder walls gives space for bigger valve openings than the traditional limited diameter for the cylinder head. This gives a oportunity for better burning, cleaner exhaust and more effect (BB). The simpel construction of this new system, makes it possible with variable compression, something hard to do with the traditional cylinder head. The cylinder head is introduced with steering/glide fold in the cylinder wall, so that the cylinder head can be moved up and down, and thightened for compression by compressions springs in the lower part of cylinder head towards the cylinder wall, driven by mecanical, hydraulical or electric power, controlled after wished compression by different RPM. All other components are knowned.
