Technical Field

[1] The present invention relates to a bag frame and a bag using the same, more specifically, the invention relates to a bag fame suitable to fabricate a student bag and a bag using the same, which can receive student supplies such as text books, reference books, a pencil case or the like and be hand-carried or hung on the shoulder, or pulled by a hand when necessary. Background Art

[2] In general, a bag includes a bag body for accommodating required items and capable of being opened and closed by means of a zipper or the like, a shoulder strap installed in the back pad of the bag body, and a handle installed in the upper end of the bag body. In addition, an extendable handle and a wheel are further installed such that the extendable handle can be used to pull the bag when required.

[3] The bag body of the above conventional bag is comprised of a fabric body and a frame installed in the lower end portion of the fabric body. The frame is formed of a rigid material such as plastics. The frame functions to provide a rigidity enough to install a wheel and an extendable handle, through which the bag can be pulled.

[4] The frame used for fabricating the conventional bags has generally the form of a rectangular container and is integrally formed of plastics or the like. However, when an extendable handle and a wheel are installed in the frame to pull the bag, the surface of the frame may be scratched to thereby spoil its appearance disadvantageously.

[5] In addition, the conventional frame is structured such that a wheel is installed in a concave portion formed near both edges thereof. Since a connection member for installing or replacing the wheel is configured to be connected from the inside of the bag, it causes inconvenience significantly when manufacturing the bag or replacing the wheel.

[6] Furthermore, the conventional bag has a disadvantage that the fabric body easily gets dirty by means of stains or like when exposed to rain or snow.

[7] The conventional bag need to be improved in many respects, for example, a separate pencil case for receiving a pencil, an eraser and the like is required. Disclosure of Invention Technical Problem

[8] It is an object of the invention to provide a bag frame, in which a scratched portion can be removed from the frame surface.

[9] Another object of the invention is to provide a bag frame, in which a wheel can be easily installed and replace.

[10] A further object of the invention is to provide a bag frame, which allows for various models of bag.

[11] A further object of the invention is to provide a bag, in which a scratched portion can be easily removed from the frame surface.

[12] A further object of the invention is to provide a bag, which can be easily changed into various other models.

[13] A further object of the invention is to provide a bag, in which a wheel can be easily attached and detached.

[14] A further object of the invention is to provide a bag, which can be conveniently used.

[15] A further object of the invention is to provide a pencil case, which can be conveniently used, along with a bag according to the invention. Technical Solution

[16] In order to accomplish the above objects, according to one aspect of the invention, there is provided a bag frame comprising: a frame body including a floor portion and a wall portion extended upwardly from an edge portion of the floor portion, the frame body having a reinforcement plate mount formed at one side thereof; and a reinforcement plate detachably installed in the frame body.

[17] The frame body has a hole formed therein, the reinforcement plate has a connection hole formed to connect a screw member through the hole, and the reinforcement plate may be fixed to the frame body through the screw member.

[18] When necessary, the reinforcement plate may have a protrusion formed so as to be inserted through the hole and protruded inwards of the frame body, and the connection hole is formed in the protrusion.

[19] When necessary the reinforcement plate may be provided with an elastic latch formed therein so as to be inserted through the hole such that the reinforcement plate is detachably fixed to the frame body.

[20] Preferably, the frame body is provided with a wheel installation section at its bottom face installed so as to be downwardly protruded, the wheel installation section having a shaft insertion hole for installing a wheel, and a wheel is installed in the frame body by means of a wheel shaft combined to the shaft insertion hole at one side of the wheel installation section and through a wheel shaft connection member combined to the wheel shaft at the other side of the wheel installation section.

[21] According to another aspect of the invention, there is provided a bag having a bag body, the bag body capable of accommodating items and being opened and closed, the bag body comprising: a frame including: a frame body including a floor portion and a wall portion extended upwardly from an edge portion of the floor portion, the frame body having a reinforcement plate mount formed at one side thereof; and a reinforcement plate detachably installed in the frame body; and an upper body connected to the frame so as to wrap around an upper space of the frame to thereby form an accommodation space together with the frame, and having an opening and closing means.

[22] The frame body has a hole formed therein, the reinforcement is provided with a connection hole formed therein to connect a screw member through the hole, and the reinforcement plate is fixed to the frame body by means of the screw member.

[23] The reinforcement plate is provided with a protrusion formed so as to be inserted through the hole and protruded inwardly of the frame body, and the connection hole is formed in the protrusion.

[24] When necessary, the reinforcement plate may be provided with an elastic latch formed so as to be inserted through the hole such that the reinforcement plate is detachably fixed to the frame body.

[25] Preferably, a wheel installation section is installed in a bottom face of the frame body so as to be protruded downwardly, a shaft insertion hole for installing a wheel being installed in the wheel installation section, and the wheel is installed through a wheel shaft to be combined to the shaft insertion hole at one side of the wheel installation section and a wheel shaft connection member to be combined to the wheel shaft at the other side of the wheel installation section.

[26] More preferably, the frame includes a floor portion and a wall portion extended upwardly from an edge portion of the floor portion to thereby take the form of a container having an open top, a thin plate portion formed to be thinner than the surroundings thereof is provided along one side of the wall portion, and the lower portion of the upper body is connected to the frame in such a way that the lower end of the upper body is opened towards the frame and sewn along the thin plate portion.

[27] The bag body may be provided with a pencil case sticker having a fabric hook- and-loop fastener, and a pencil case having a fabric hook-and-loop fastener is detachably attached to the surface of the pencil case sticker.

[28] The bag body is provided with an umbrella holder where an umbrella can be held when necessary.

[29] Preferably, an elastic band is provided above the umbrella holder such that an umbrella can be held to the bag body in a stable manner.

[30] More preferably, a shoulder strap is installed rearwards of the bag body, the bag

body is provided, at the front side thereof, with extendable vertical members connected to the frame and an extendable handle having a handle and installed in the upper end of the vertical members, and the wheel is installed in the opposite side of the shoulder strap. [31] The bag may further comprise a cover for covering the bag body when rains or snows. [32] The cover may be detachably installed in the bag body, and the bag body is provided with a cover receiver for accommodating the cover. [33] The bag body is provided with a nametag or a timetable connected to an elastic material, and with a pocket for receiving the nametag or the timetable at the connected state to the elastic material. [34] The bag body is provided at the inside thereof with a book holder for holding a book or a notebook to the inner wall of the bag in a stable fashion, and the bag body is provided at the front side or rear side thereof with a fluorescent band. [35] According to another aspect of the invention, there is provided a bag comprising a pencil case sticker having a fabric hook-and-loop fastener, the pencil case sticker being provided in a bag body, and a pencil case having a fabric hook-and-loop fastener at its surface is detachably attached to the pencil case sticker. [36] According to a further aspect of the invention, there is provided a pencil case comprising a fabric hook-and-loop fastener installed in the surface thereof, when necessary, so as to be attached to and detached from a bag having a pencil case sticker having a fabric hook-and-loop fastener installed therein.

Advantageous Effects

[37] A bag frame, a bag using the bag frame, and a pencil case detachably attached to the bag have an advantage of being able to be used, especially by students.

[38] The bag according to the invention is designed to enable to replace the reinforcement plate with a new one when the frame surface is scratched a lot, thereby improving the appearance of the bag.

[39] In addition, the reinforcement plate can be made in various colors and designs, thereby enabling to commercialize various models of bags.

[40] Furthermore, during the manufacturing of a bag, the wheel can be easily installed.

When manufacturing a bag, the wheel can be installed after combining the upper body to the frame. Thus, the manufacturing process is simplified and, whenever needed, the wheel can be replaced when in use.

[41] When raining or snowing, a cover can be covered over the bag body. Thus, the bag body can be prevented from getting wet and dirty. Since the wheel is attached to the opposite side of the shoulder strap, the user s clothes does not get dirty due to foreign

matters attached to the wheel, even when hanging the bag on the shoulder after pulling the bag for a while. [42] Besides, an umbrella holder and an umbrella holding band are provided to enable to conveniently carry the umbrella. A nametag and a timetable is attached to a stretchable band and received in a pocket, which can be conveniently used by the users. [43] In particular, the bag according to the invention is provided with a pencil case capable of being detachably attached thereto using a Velcro fastener, a non- woven fabric or the like. Thus, the pencil case can be conveniently used. [44] Furthermore, the bag of the invention is provided with a fluorescent band attached thereto, which is of great help in preventing safety accidents to children. In addition, a book holder is provided inside the bag so that books and notebooks can be received in a stable manner.

Mode for the Invention [52] Referring to Figs. 1 and 2, a bag 100 according to the invention includes a bag body

100a, which is comprised of a lower frame 110 and an upper body portion 160 connected to the lower frame 110. Installed in one side of the bag body 100a is a shoulder strap 162 for hanging the bag body 100a on the shoulder, when necessary.

Preferably, an extendable handle 140 is installed at the opposite side to the shoulder strap 162. A wheel 130 is installed at the bottom face of the lower frame 110.

Preferably, the wheel 130 is installed at the opposite side of the shoulder strap 162. If necessary, the wheel 130 may be covered with a wheel cover 131. [53] More specifically, the bag body 100a of the bag 100 of the invention is comprised of a frame 110 forming the lower structure of the bag body 100a and exposed to the outside, and an upper body portion 160 disposed upwards of the lower frame 110.

[54] Further referring to Fig. 3, the frame 110 according to the invention includes a frame body 110a comprising a floor portion 111 and a wall portion 112 extended upwardly from the edge of the floor portion 111, wherein the frame body 110a has a reinforcement plate mount 113 formed at one side thereof, and a reinforcement plate 120 to be detachably installed in the frame body 110a.

[55] The frame body 110a includes a floor portion 111 and a wall portion 112 extended upwardly from the edge of the floor portion 111 to thereby form the form of container having an open top. This frame body 110a is formed preferably of a rectangular container having an open top, but not limited thereto. For example, it may be formed of a pentagonal container, a hexagonal container, an oval container, or the like. In addition, the frame main body does not necessarily take a container form. That is, the wall portion 112 is not necessarily formed along the entire periphery of the floor portion 111. Without the wall portion at one side, one lower end of the upper body portion 160 may be directly connected to the floor portion 111. In this case, however, the connection work with the upper body portion 160, such as sewing work, is increased and the connection work itself becomes complicated. The frame body 110a is provided with a reinforcement plate mount 113 formed at one side thereof. The reinforcement plate mount 113 is to easily replace the reinforcement plate 120 where scratches can be easily formed on the outer surface of the frame 110 by means of protrusions, when pulling the bag 100 on the ground. This reinforcement plate mount 113 may be constructed in various ways as long as they can easily attach and detach the enforcement plate 120. Preferably, the reinforcement plate mount 113 includes a depression 114 for the reinforcement plate 120 to be rested thereon and a hole 115 for connecting the reinforcement plate 120 to a desired region.

[56] Preferably, the reinforcement plate 120 is installed in a portion easily scratched when being pulled, i.e., in the outside of a portion where the floor portion 111 and the wall portion 112 of the frame body 110a meet each other. More preferably, the reinforcement plate 120 is installed at the bottom face to the side of the extendable handle 140. This reinforcement plate 120 has a cross-section of generally L shape. It is preferable that a protrusion 121 is formed in the reinforcement plate 120 so as to be inserted through a hole 115 formed in the frame body 110a and protruded inwards of the frame body 110. A connection hole 122 is formed in the protrusion 121 so as to connect inside the frame body 110a using a screw member 116 and an auxiliary connection member 117. In case where the protrusion 121 is formed to have a shorter length or the frame body 110 is provided with an element integrally formed so as to serve as an auxiliary connection member 117, the auxiliary connection member 117 is not necessitated.

[57] In a certain circumstance, the reinforcement plate 120 is provided with an elastic

latch formed such that the reinforcement plate 120 is detachably fixed to the frame body 110a by being inserted through a hole 115 formed in the frame body 110a. This can be understood to those skilled in the art although this is not illustrated in the drawings.

[58] In case where the above reinforcement plate 120 is designed in various colors and shapes, the reinforcement plate 120 only can be replaced to commercialize various models of bags. This feature will draw attentions from consumers having reluctance to identical designs and products.

[59] As illustrated in the figures, the frame body 110a is provided with a wheel installation section 119 formed at its bottom face so as to be protruded downwardly. A wheel insertion hole 118 for installing a wheel 130 is formed in the wheel installation section 119. This allows the wheel 130 to be installed or replaced from the outside of the frame body 110a, dissimilar to the conventional bag. In the case of the conventional bag, a concave groove is formed near both edges of the frame body 110a so as to have a size to the extent for the wheel 130 to be inserted thereinto, the wheel is disposed in the concave groove, and then a wheel shaft 132 is inserted inwardly of the frame body and fixed inside of the frame body.

[60] That is, as illustrated in the figures, in the case where the wheel installation section

119 is formed in the form of a protrusion protruded downwardly of the frame body 110a, the wheel 130 can be installed in the frame body 110a through a wheel shaft 132 combined to the shaft insertion hole 118 at one side of the wheel installation section 119 and a wheel shaft connection member 133 combined to the wheel shaft 132 at the other side of the external wheel installation section 119 of the frame body 110a. That is, in case of using the bag frame 110 according to the present invention, the wheel 130 can be installed and replaced from the outside of the frame body 110a, thereby enabling an easy installation and replacement of wheel 130. An auxiliary connection ring 134 is interposed between the wheel shaft 132 and the wheel shaft connection member 133.

[61] As the wheel 130, a common wheel used in a bag can be employed, or a light emitting wheel can be used to be well noticed to drivers eyes when pulling and carrying the bag, thereby prevent a safety accident such as car accidents.

[62] Referring to Figs. 2 and 4, a pair of vertical member connection section 135 is disposed in the frame body 110a to be spaced apart from each other. The lower end of the vertical member 141 is inserted into the vertical member connection section 135 respectively and fixed to the frame 110 through a screw member 136. It is preferable that the vertical member 141 is structured to be able to be stretched or retracted in a two or three-fold fashion. Installed at the upper end of the vertical member are connection means 144 for fixing a connection member 143 connecting both vertical members to

each other and the upper end portion of the vertical member 141 to the upper end portion of the upper body 160. The connection means is composed of a male and female pair. An extendable handle 140 connecting two vertical members 141 is installed in the upper end of the vertical member 141, which passes through the upper body 160 and is exposed to the outside. The connection between the upper and lower vertical members 141 can be done using a conventional handle structure using a ball 145, which is supported by a spring inside thereof.

[63] Referring to Fig. 3, on the bottom face of the frame 110, a pair of protrusions 137 is installed in a way to be protruded downwardly with a space in-between. This protrusion 137 is integrally formed in the bottom face of the frame 110. The protrusion 137 has a height to the extend that the wheel 130 is projected downwardly of the floor portion 111, thereby preventing the bag body 100a from being leaned to one side when the bag stands in an upright state.

[64] Referring to Figs. 2, 4 and 7, a thin plate portion 112a is formed along the upper end of the wall portion 112. This thin plate portion 112a is provided for connecting the lower end of the upper body 160 through sewing, which will be hereinafter explained. Preferably, the thin plate portion 112a is formed along the upper end of the wall portion 112, but not necessarily formed along the upper end of the wall portion. For example, the thin plate portion 112a may be formed at any height of the wall portion 112, or may be formed in two or more stepped fashion.

[65] In the above-described frame 110, the lower end of the upper body 160, which will be explained later, is connected along the wall portion 112 and thus the floor portion 111 and the wall portion 112 are partially exposed to the outside. This frame 110 is made of a plastic material or the like. Therefore, foreign matter such as dirt, which may be attached to the bottom face of the bag, can be easily wiped away. In particular, where the outer surface of the frame 110 is severely scratched such that its appearance is spoiled, the reinforcement plate 120 can be replaced to provide a clear face to the frame 110 like a new bag.

[66] As shown in Figs. 1, 2 and 5, the upper body 160 is provided upwardly of the frame

110. Preferably, the upper body 160 is formed of a fabric material. It is preferably that the upper boy 150 has an open bottom. The lower end of the upper body 160 is connected along the wall portion 112 so as to expose the frame to the outside. As can be seen from Fig. 7, the lower end of the upper body 160 is connected to the thin plate portion 112a preferably through sewing. The upper body 160 is connected to the frame so as to wrap around the upper space of the frame 110 to thereby form an accommodation space together with the frame 110. The upper body 160 has an opening and closing means such as a zipper.

[67] That is, since the bottom portion of the upper body 160 can remain opened, the

upper body 160 can be easily fabricated. Dissimilar to the conventional technique, a perforating or riveting process is not necessarily carried out on the upper boy 160 and therefore the productivity in fabricating the bag body 100a is significantly improved.

[68] As can be seen in Fig. 5, the upper body 160 is provided at the rear side thereof with a shoulder strap 162 for hanging the bag 100 on the shoulder and with a rear pocket 166 for receiving the shoulder strap 162 when necessary. The shoulder strap 162 is configured to be able to be connected and disconnected through a clip 162a installed near the lower end portion thereof. In addition, the shoulder strap 162 is provided with a fluorescent band 168 to help prevent safety accident. Of course, it is preferable that the upper body 160, at the opposite side of the shoulder strap 162, is provided with a fluorescent band 168a. Mounted at the rear side of the upper body 160 and inner side of the shoulder strap 162 is a cushion material 170 for providing comfort when hanging the bag 100 on the shoulder

[69] The upper body 160 is further provided with a zipper 164a for adjusting the size of the bag 100, and a common type handle 172 is installed at one side of the upper end of the upper body 160. At the front side of the upper body 160 is provided a front pocket 174 for accommodating items.

[70] As can be seen in Figs. 1 and 2, inside of the upper body 160 is installed a screen

176 for covering the vertical member 141 and the bottom portion 111. The screen 176 is foldable in multi-fold. A fabric hook-and-loop fastener 178 is attached to the end portion of the screen 176 and its facing portion (not shown) inside of the upper body 160 respectively. Inwardly of the screen 176 is provided a book holder 180 for holding a book or a notebook. It is also preferable that the book holder 180 is structured that one side thereof is detachable using a fabric hook-and-loop fastener.

[71] A thick cushion material such as sponge may be further provided between the screen 176 and the floor portion 111 of the frame 110.

[72] As shown in Figs. 1 and 2, disposed at one side of the upper body 160 is an umbrella holder 182 for holding an umbrella. An elastic band 184 for elastically holding the umbrella in place is installed above the umbrella holder 182. As shown in Fig. 5, installed at the opposite lateral side of the upper body are a nametag 186 connected to an elastic band 187. The nametag 186 is made to be able to be received in a pocket 188. Of course, a class schedule of one week, or together with a name, can be contained in the nametag 186. That is, in order to confirm a class time or the bag owner s name, the upper end of the nametag 186 can be pulled upwardly and then the nametag 186 is exposed upwardly of the pocket 188. After confirming required information, the nametag held by a hand is released and then the nametag 186 is received into the pocket 188 by means of the resiliency of the elastic band 187.

[73] As shown in Fig. 5, the bag 100 according to the invention is further provided with

a bag cover 190 for covering the bag body 100a when it rains or snows. The lower end of the bag cover 190 is opened, along the edge of which a rubber band 192 is attached. The upper end of the bag cover 190 is opened at the portion corresponding to the extendable handle 140. This bag cover is detachable installed through a clip 194 and the upper body 160 is provided with a pocket 196 for receiving and storing the bag cover 190. The pocket 196 has an opening directed downwardly, dissimilar to other pockets. Fig. 6 is a side view of a bag according to the invention where the bag cover 190 is covered over the bag body 100a.

[74] The bag 100 of the invention includes a pencil case 200 capable of being detachably attached to the bag. Attached to one lateral side of the pencil case 200 is a fabric hook- and-loop fastener 202. The fabric hook-and-loop fastener 202 is used to detachably attach the pencil case 200 to a fabric hook-and-loop fastener 198 attached to the inner side face of the upper body 160.

[75] The above-described bag 100 of the invention has a reinforcement plate 120, which can be detachably installed and thus replaced when necessary. In addition, the reinforcement plate 120 may be made to have various colors or designs, thereby providing various models of bags.

[76] The bag 100 of the invention is designed to enable an easy replacement of the wheel

130 from the outside.

[77] In addition, the lower end of the upper body 160 is connected to the wall portion of the frame 110 by means of sewing or the like. Thus, the manufacturing process is significantly improved. For this purpose, a thin plate portion 112a having a band shape is formed along the wall portion 112 of the frame 110, and the lower portion of the upper body 160 is opened towards the frame 110, as can be seen from Fig. 2.

[78] Furthermore, the bag 100 has a shoulder strap 162 installed at the rear side of the bag body 100a, and a wheel 130 and an extendable handle 140 are installed at the front side of the bag body 100a. Thus, the bag 100 can be easily hung on the shoulder using the shoulder strap 162, and the user s back is not stained by foreign matters stuck to the wheel 130.

[79] Referring to Fig. 3, the protrusion 137 is formed integrally with the frame 110.

Thus, any separate part is not necessitated to install the protrusion 137 and a riveting work for its installation is also not required. This also improved the productivity and rigidity of the bag. The remainder is the same as the previous explanation.

[80] Referring to Fig. 7, the thin plate portion 112a, formed in the frame 110, may be formed below the upper end of the wall portion 112, or may be formed in a two- or more step fashion. The lower end of the upper body 160 is connected to the thin plate portion 112a through sewing using a string 163, while wrapping around the thin plate portion 112a. In order to improve the connecting strength between the upper body 160

and the frame 110 and upgrade the internal appearance thereof, a separate finishing material 165 may be further wrapped around the connection area between the upper body 160 and the thin plate portion 112a before sewing. Beside the sewing method, of course, the connection between the lower end of the upper body 160 and the frame 110 may be carried out using an adhesive, a clip, or other metallic hardware. In this case, the thin plate portion 112a may not be formed. Of course, the sewing process and the adhesive may be used together. Industrial Applicability

[81] As described above, the present invention can be used for manufacturing a bag, especially a student bag.

[82] Although the present invention has been described with reference to several preferred embodiments, the description is illustrative of the invention and not to be construed as limiting the invention. Various modifications and variations may occur to those skilled in the art without departing from the scope and spirit of the invention, as defined by the appended claims.
