Abstract:
A foldable frame structure that expands into a regular 2N-sided polygon (N being an integer of at least 3), maintains stability and has high rigidity when expanded, and is compact when folded. 2N links (210) are arranged in a regular 2N-sided polygon shape; first coupling/holding implements (220) are alternately provided at every other vertex; and the links (210) are coupled and held so as to be capable of rotation around orthogonal axes (AX2) orthogonal to the central axes (AX1) of both links. Second coupling/holding implements (230) are alternately provided at every other vertex where the first coupling/holding implements (220) have not been provided, and the links (210) are coupled and held so as to be capable of rotation around diagonal axes (AX3) of the regular 2N polygon, said diagonal axes forming a 180/2N angle relative to the central axes (AX1) of both links. The links (210) can be rotated around the central axes as a result of a rotation means (240). From an expanded state, the links (210) can be folded towards the inside of the regular 2N polygon around the diagonal axes (AX3), folded around the orthogonal axes (AX2), rotated around the central axes (AX1), and folded into a cylindrical body.
