Abstract:
An automatic teller machine having a fraud surveillance function comprises a camera for capturing images of a subject that is to be monitored and that is provided with unique ID information; a recording unit that has recorded both code information established in the unique ID information and positional information of the unique ID information; an identifying unit that identifies the unique ID information from the captured images of the subject to acquire the code information and that also identifies the position of the unique ID information to acquire the positional information; and a surveillance unit that regards the code information and positional information of the unique ID information, both recorded in the recording unit, as recorded code information and recorded positional information, respectively, also regards the code information and positional information of the unique ID information, both acquired by the identifying unit, as acquired code information and acquired positional information, respectively, compares the recorded code information with the acquired code information, and that also compares the recorded positional information with the acquired positional information, thereby determining whether fraud exists with respect to the subject.
