Title:
FREELY ROTATING ANNULAR BODY TYPE BRAKE DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2007/029543
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A freely rotating annular body type brake device, wherein the rotational speed
of a rotating portion such as the wheel of a means of communication and the rotating
shaft of a machine tool relative to that of a stationary portion at their frictional
sliding portions is reduced by interposing a freely rotating annular body between
the rotating portion and the stationary portion to increase a braking force while
reducing a heating value due to braking. A first freely rotating annular body
(50) and a second annular body (60) are interposed between a ring gear (35) and
a planetary carrier (32) built in a transmission, and pushed by a pushing means
(70) for frictional engagement. As a result, the freely rotating annular body
type brake device capable of braking the rotation of a rotating shaft (23) can
be provided.
