Abstract:
Provided is a freezing apparatus that, in the event of a refrigerant leak, is able to minimize the extent of leakage even if the operation of the apparatus continues in sections where there is no leak. When the situation of refrigerant leakage fulfills a prescribed condition within a first utilization unit (50) or a second utilization unit (60), which are connected in parallel via a liquid-side refrigerant interconnecting pipe (6) and a gas-side refrigerant interconnecting pipe (7), a controller (70) performs control to close an on-off valve disposed on the liquid-side refrigerant interconnecting pipe (6) side of a utilization-side heat exchanger in a leaking unit and performs control so as to keep, in an open state, an on-off valve disposed on the liquid-side refrigerant interconnecting pipe (6) side of a utilization-side heat exchanger in a non-leaking unit, and, at the same time, lowers refrigerant pressure on the liquid-side refrigerant interconnecting pipe (6) side of the respective on-off valves to a level lower than the refrigerant pressure level that is to be used when the situation of refrigerant leakage fulfills the prescribed condition.
