Abstract:
With an object to be frozen positioned away from the walls of an airtight container, the object is frozen after being cooled by natural convection at not more than -16°C and forced to undergo supercooling. At this time, it is preferable to start cooling the object to be frozen and the ambient gas from room temperature. Further, it is preferable to fill the airtight container with a gas containing a multi-atomic gas having comprising constituent elements having at least 3 atoms, or containing said multi-atomic gas in such a manner that the heat capacity of the gas inside the container is greater than the heat capacity of dry air with the same number of molecules.
