Abstract:
The piezoelectric vibration piece of a tuning fork type vibrator is provided with a base and a plurality of legs. Each leg is formed with excitation electrodes having poles different according to front-rear surfaces and opposite-side surfaces, with excitation electrodes on the opposite-side surfaces being commonly connected to each other. A frequency-regulating metal film is formed at the tip end of each leg of the piezoelectric vibration piece to regulate a frequency by removing a metal film formed by beam irradiating on at least one surface of the side surface and the tip end surface of the tip end.
