Abstract:
A frequency-sweeping test method for noise prediction of a power capacitor, comprising the following steps: 1) sequentially applying one-half to fifty times of the power frequency of sinusoidal voltage excitation to the capacitor in intervals of one-half of the power frequency, and simultaneously measuring vibrations of respective points on the housing of the capacitor; 2) dividing the vibrations at respective frequencies by the square of the applied voltage to obtain an electro-vibration frequency response function value corresponding to a frequency two times said frequency; 3) calculating a frequency spectrum of the square of the capacitor voltage according to the voltage and current of the capacitor; 4) multiplying the frequency spectrum of the square of the capacitor voltage by the electro-vibration frequency response function of the capacitor obtained via the frequency-sweeping test to obtain the vibration spectrum of the capacitor housing; 5) calculating a sound power for radiation noises of the capacitor according to the vibration spectrum of the housing. The present solution improves the current situation of lacking a simple and standard noise detection means and insufficient investment in noise reduction from all parties in the capacitor industry, thus providing a basis for addressing the capacitor noise problem.
