Abstract:
A frequency synthesis-based optical frequency domain reflectometry method and system. The method comprises: performing electro-optic modulation (3) and acousto-optic modulation (4) on local light to obtain an optical pulse; serving the optical pulse as a detection pulse optical signal (15) and inputting same to a test optical fiber (9); and coupling and beating an obtained Rayleigh backscattered optical signal (16) and the local light, performing photoelectric conversion, and demodulating same, so as to implement optical frequency reflectometry, wherein the electro-optic modulation (3) refers to modulating by means of a single frequency signal (11), the acousto-optic modulation (4) refers to modulating by means of a pulse signal (12), and multiple frequency components of an optical comb signal obtained by means of the electro-optic modulation (3) are swept simultaneously to obtain the optical pulse. The optical frequency domain reflectometry method and system have a large detection range, high spatial resolution, low hardware cost, and low software complexity.
