Abstract:
Provided is a fresh water generation device that is equipped with: an evaporation device that subjects a draw solution including sodium chloride to evaporative concentration and generates condensation water by condensing the generated steam; a forward osmosis treatment device that has a draw solution chamber, into which the draw solution concentrated by the evaporation device is led, and a feed solution chamber, into which a feed solution having a lower sodium chloride concentration than concentrated salt water is led, said draw solution chamber and feed solution chamber being partitioned by a semipermeable membrane that transmits water; a reflux means that allows the draw solution that has been diluted by the water that has been transmitted from the feed solution chamber via the semipermeable membrane to flow back to the evaporation device; and a draw solution replenishment means that, using a nanofiltration membrane device, replenishes descaled sea water, from which a scale component has been removed, to a draw solution channel.
