Abstract:
Provided are: a Fresnel lens that has mountain-shaped prisms that have a narrow pitch and that slope sharply from protruding parts to recessed parts thereof; and a production method for the Fresnel lens. This Fresnel lens is characterized by being a molded and cured product of a curable composition that has a contact angle of no more than 50° with a mold. The Fresnel lens is characterized by having at least two concentric circular prisms, the cross-sections of the prisms having a mountain shape that has a height (h) to width (w) ratio (h/w) of at least 0.3, the height (h) being no more than 0.5 mm. The mold is ideally a silicone mold. Cured products of the curable composition ideally have a breaking strain of 0.1%–30%.
