Abstract:
A friction coefficient correction device for a belt-type continuously variable transmission, wherein a friction coefficient correction means (M4) calculates a friction coefficient correction coefficient from a friction coefficient that has been calculated for a prescribed transmission gear ratio by a friction coefficient calculation means (M3) and a friction coefficient default value stored in a friction coefficient map (16) for that prescribed transmission gear ratio. In addition, by means of the friction coefficient correction coefficient the friction coefficient correction means uniformly corrects the friction coefficient default values stored in the friction coefficient map (16) for each transmission gear ratio. Thus, it is possible to correct the friction coefficient default values in all of the friction coefficient maps (16) merely by calculating one friction coefficient correction coefficient, and to ensure the reliability of the corrected friction coefficient default values. Furthermore, it is sufficient to calculate the friction coefficient for only one transmission gear ratio, so the frequency with which the friction coefficient can be calculated can be increased, and the reliability of the corrected friction coefficient default values can be further increased.
