Abstract:
A friction drive apparatus by a ball screw in a rotary friction welding machine relates
to the improvement of a friction drive apparatus in a friction welding machine.
The apparatus characters in that a motor is directly connected with a ball screw
through a coupling, and a nut is mounted on the thrust base which sliding fit with
a base. And both the thrust base and a clamp are mounted on a movable-sliding table.
Moreover, the ball screw is fixed with a motor base by bearings, and the front end
of the thrust base is fixed with mandrels. The advantages of the invention are
as following: simple construction, easily to be made and decreased cost. Replacing
hydraulic ram with servo controller can precisely control the axial force, the
speed of response and advance displacement for force. As a result, the invention
can be obtained closed-loop control of speed, closed-loop control of torque
and closed-loop control of displacement in motor, realizing higher precision
and better quality of friction welding.
