Abstract:
A lock-up clutch (4) comprises: a plurality of radially outside friction plates (42) slidably engaging with a clutch drum (44); a plurality of radially inside friction plates (41) slidably engaging with a clutch hub (45); a piston (43) for pressing the radially outside friction plates (42) and the radially inside friction plates (41) by moving in the direction of a rotation axis X; a spring (B2) for applying, to the piston (43), a biasing force in the direction of the rotation axis X; and a plate member (49) for supporting one end (B2a) of the spring (B2), wherein the plate member (49) slidably engages with the clutch hub (45) in the direction of the rotation axis X.
