Abstract:
Provided is a friction joining element. The present invention is a friction joining element for mechanically joining a plate assembly obtained by superposing two or more metal plates, a high-strength steel plate being used as the upper plate, wherein the friction joining element comprises a mandrel having a total length adjusted to a length that is equal to or less than the total plate thickness of the plate assembly, and a collar in an upper part of the mandrel, the mandrel having screw threads on a side surface of a head side thereof.
