Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a friction material that exhibits improved friction characteristics, particularly improved resistance to fading and wear, and that is less of a burden on the environment. This friction material includes a fiber base material, a friction adjusting material, and a bonding material, wherein the copper content is 0.5 mass% or less in terms of elemental copper, and lithium carbonate is included.
