Abstract:
A unit friction pad assembly (110) constituting a friction pad assembly for a disk brake is provided with: a lining assembly (13) installed into a guide hole (11a) of a guide plate (11) by insertion therein in oscillatable fashion, for transmitting braking torque to the guide plate (11) from a plate mating part (22a), and urged towards the guide plate (11) by a spring member (24); and a gap maintaining mechanism (36) for maintaining a gap between the guide plate (11) and a torque receiving plate (13).
