Title:
FRICTION PRESSURE WELDING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2018/168687
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention provides: a friction pressure welding method that enables a reduction in welding temperature in addition to making it possible to accurately control the welding temperature, wherein the friction pressure welding method makes it possible to obtain a welded part free of defects regardless of the type of the materials being welded; and a welded structure obtained through said method. A friction pressure welding method in which one member is caused to abut a second member and the members are caused to slide against each other in a state in which a load is applied substantially perpendicular to a welding interface, wherein the friction pressure welding method is characterized in having: a first step in which a pressure (P1) calculated from the surface area of the welding interface and the load is set so as to be equal to or greater than the yield stress of the one member and/or the other member and so as to be equal to or less than the tensile strength thereof at a desired welding temperature; and a second step in which the load is reduced and friction pressure welding is carried out, the first step and the second step being continuously performed.
