Abstract:
The present invention measures the dimensions of a workpiece (W1, W2) and uses the dimension measurement results to compute a rapid traverse distance (L × 1) for rapid traverse under the condition that a slow traverse distance (L × 2) for slow traverse is constant. An increase in the slow traverse distance is thereby eliminated, the constant slow traverse distance (L × 2) is set to a short distance, and the relative ratio of the rapid traverse distance (L × 2) is increased in comparison with a workpiece in which the workpiece dimensions are greater than normal dimensions, whether the workpiece be a workpiece of normal dimensions or a workpiece in which the workpiece dimensions are less than normal dimensions.
