Abstract:
This frictional agitation point joining apparatus is provided with: a first tool (10); a first linear movement driver (7) which moves the first tool (10) back and forth along an axis line; a first rotation driver (8) which rotates the first tool (10) about the axis line; and a control device (30) configured to perform, by controlling the first linear movement driver (7) and the first rotation driver (8), step (A) in which an object (W) to be joined is joined by rotating the first tool (10) about the axis line while a tip section of the first tool (10) presses the object (W) to be joined, and after step (A), step (B) in which when pushed by the first tool (10), a border portion of a hole (40) is covered by means of a first part (41) disposed around the hole (40) and/or by means of a first member which is different from the object (W) to be joined.
