Abstract:
The present invention relates to a frictional wave speed reducer of which the principle of driving is modified from that of a conventional strain wave gearing mainly used for the joints of an industrial robot, and comprises: a wave generator having a conical pressing surface at the outermost side thereof; a toothless flex spline having a conical friction pipe in which the wave generator is accommodated so that the conical pressing surface makes close and internal contact therewith; and a toothless circular spline in which the toothless flex spline is accommodated so as to have an internal conical friction surface with which the conical friction pipe makes internal contact at a plurality of points that are axially symmetrical to each other, so as to form an internal friction wheel together with the toothless flex spline. Therefore, provided is the speed reducer, which overcomes the disadvantages of a conventional strain wave gearing so as to have relatively high productivity and high rotational accuracy, and have no vibration and noise generation.
