Description:
FRONT AND BACKSCREENS BLINDS OF A MOTOR VEHICLE The invention concerns those devices which protect the internal space of motor vehicle cabin from the bright light and the other kind of rays and constructionally are linked with the wind and backscreens and have regulated position.

There is a solution by means of which the blind consists of hinge jointed strips, which are folded and gone into the corresponding nest of vehicle cabin upper sheathing (European Patent No 0479122 A2).

The shortages of above-mentioned solution are-being multielementariness and less effectiveness in case, the small labour space of the blind is compared with the big space of windscreen in a modern motor vehicle.

It is known a solution, taken as a prototype, of blind's fixation mechanism in which the web of a soft blind is wound on a springy drum axis, while its free edge is connected with the traverse, provided by lugs, which are set on the guides with the possibility of transferring and fastening (USSR Author Certificate No 397384).

The shortage of an above-mentioned solution is the presence of a complementary element in a cabin, that is the sticking out drum, as well as the blind's self-planeness, which does not coincide with the wind or backscreen's concavity.

The invention's task'is to protect an'internal part of a cabin and driver from the bright and burning sunlight, penetrating from the front and back screens and at the same time to provide comfort to the exploitation.

The invention's essence is that the blind in passive picked position is placed within the space of a vehicle cabin roof and its sheathing, while in the exploited position the blind takes corresponding outline of the wind or back screen concavity and can be carried out as: a) a soft blind web, wound on a springy drum; connected by its free edge traverse is made of the flexible substance, providing transverse bend and has in its center the vacuum sucker- fixator; as well as there is a version when the blind web can be consisted of two parts. b) the same is the one, having the single central guiding and index-pin, slidden by it. c) compound made up, coordinated, folded flexible strips, which, by turns, slide by the base guide. d) the flexible web, which transfers by the lateral U-shaped section guides and has longitudinal and transverse rollers regulating its curve. e) comprised of two left and right flexible web parts, whose internal U-shaped guides length are limited by a cabin roof length, while lateral C-shaped guides are longer and are spread up to the lower edge of the windscreen, connected with its side supports by special protuberance.

The given solutions are available both for the vehicle wind and backscreen and can be fulfilled either by hand or an electric engine.

The wound blind fixed between (see figures 1,2,4) the cabin roof (1) of the vehicle and its sheathing (2), comprises of a soft web (3), wound on a springy drum (4), while its free edge is connected with a flexible traverse (5), in the center of the latter the vacuum sucker-fixator (6) is present with the soaking and transferring handle (7). The edges of flexible traverse (5) have the soft ending or rollers (8), which are harmless for a screen. In presence of attached to the windscreen, back view mirror, the blind (3) consists of two parts (see figure 2), and the traverse (5) by its central part can be U-shaped.

The blind, which is wound by the single central guide (see figures 3,5,6) differs from the previous one by the central guide (9) and holder-index pin (10), which has the possibility of sliding by the central guide. If the electric engine (11) is present, the central guide (9) is the pipe-shaped construction with a linear cut, and the threading axis (12) with rotating possibility is placed in the construction, as well as the female screw (13) with the transferring possibility, which is fixed to the traverse (5).

The composite blind (see figures 7,8,9) consists of connected, folded flexible strips (14), which have the sliding possibility by central guiding (9). The strips (14) have in their central part to the direction of transferring axis the transverse cutting (15). The next strip's springy projection (16) transfers in the transverse cut, while behind the cut there is a clamp (17), sliding by a guide (9). The fixation of the first strip takes place by means of a holder-index pin (10).

The version with an electric engine (11) resembles the previous one.

The blind, transferring by lateral guides (see figures 10,11,12,13 14,15,16), includes the flexible web (18), lateral guidings (19) in a U-shaped cut form, regulated rollers (20) of linear curve, as well as regulated rollers of transverse curve (21), the vacuum sucker-fixator (6) and the handle (7) of transferring and fixating. In the version with an electric engine (11) the rotating motion of the engine is transferred by an axis (22) and worm transmission (23) to the rollers (21) of the transverse curve.

The flexible web blind (see figures 17,18,19,20,21) comprising of two parts involves the two parts left and right flexible webs (18), with their transferring guidings, while the internal ones (24) are of a U-shaped cut and are placed only in the space between a cabin roof and roof sheathing, while the lateral ones (25) are of a C-shaped cut and are placed in the roof area, being continued by cabin lateral supports (26) up to the lower edge of the screen. Lateral guides (25) can be connected with vehicle lateral supports by the special projections (27). The rollers (21) of the transverse curve have the corresponding profile. For transferring of the blind the handle (28) is destined with an eccentric index pin (29). The version with an electric engine (11) resembles the previous one. In figure 20 the mechanism's version of blind's half parts with electric engine is displayed as well, transferring by means of threading axis (12), which is placed with rotating possibility into the lateral guide (25). The left and right sides of the web (18) are transferred in the different planes.

The principle of the blind exploitation. The soft web (3), wound on the springy drum (4) by means of a handle (7) is lowered to the desired position and is fixed by vacuum sucker-fixator (10). The flexible traverse (5) takes the concave form of the screen. Not to bring harm to the glass, while transferring, the traverse (5) edges have soft ending or rollers (8). For passing of attached to the windscreen, back view mirror joint, the soft blind (3) consists of two parts, and the traverse (5) by its central part can be U-shaped. In the version of an electric engine (11) the blind transferring is done in the pipe-shaped guide (9), which has linear cut, and is placed by the rotation of a threading axis (12) on which is set perpendicularly attached to the blind's traverse (5) the female screw (13).

Mutually connected, clubbed together, consisted of flexible strips, chained strips (14), which are chained to the composite blind, have cuts (15) by their base axis of motion, by means of the cuts the next strip's stringy projection (16) is transferred. The projection is as springy as to avoid the arbitrary shift of strips in order not to prevent strips transferring, which is done by an index pin. Behind the cut (15) a freely sliding clamp (17), slidden by a guide (9) is planned. The fixation of the first strip is set by a holder-index pin (10). The version with an electric engine (11) resembles the previous one.

The flexible web (18) of blind, which is transferred by the guides (19), having lateral U-shaped cut, passing through the rollers (20) of the linear curve, by means of the average regulated roller, from the roof plane conjugates with the screen plane. Passing through regulated rollers (21) of transverse curve, the web gets corresponding bend to the screen's concavity. and constructive stiffness. In the version with an electric engine (11) the transferring of flexible web (18) and fixation are done by the rollers (21) of the transverse curve.

The flexible web blind, consisting of two parts, is necessary in the case of the back vision field mirror presence, which is attached to the car's wind screen. The flexible webs (18) work in the different planes ; and when exploited by hand act. independent, fixated by an eccentric index pin (29) ; : up ; to thé desired position ; Each part has its pair of guides, so that the, length of internal ones (24)'are limited within the area of the cabin roof, and lateral ones (25) are continued Stohg'thetengthofthe'vehideatepa) support (26) up. to the lower edge of the screen and,, can be attached to a support by the special projection (27). Due to being the guide (25) in a C-shaped form, the web is tightened to a screen. The exploitation of the version with an electric engine resembles the previous one.

The proposed versions are elaborated both for the wind and back screen of the vehicle.

Wound and composite blinds can be exploited on the cabin roof only, in the presence of the solar trap.

In the case of the blind, transferred by lateral guides, as well as the blind, consisted of the two parts, being proportions of a vehicle cabin roof not satisfying, both the wind and back screens partly can be placed on one another.

The proposed blinds have such an advantage, which gives the possibility to curtain the screen within the desired position or up to the end, which is essential, when a vehicle is parked under the burning solar rays.

If the web has corresponding flexibility and strength, the blind can be used in protecting aim in the case of mechanical damages.
