Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a frost detector and frosting state detection device capable of detecting a frosting state using a simple configuration. [Solution] A frost detector (101) is characterized by being provided with a base member (19), a moisture detection unit (13) configured from a wetness-sensing-body pattern having a resistance value that is changed by moisture, a pair of separate electrode units (17) that are electrically connected to the wetness-sensing-body pattern (13), and a heat generation unit (15) that is provided near the moisture detection unit (13) and is capable of evaporating frost and moisture adhered to the moisture detection unit (13). A frosting state detection device is characterized by being provided with the frost detector (101), a power supply means for supplying power to the heat generation unit (15), a resistance value detection means for outputting a signal corresponding to the resistance value of the wetness-sensing-body pattern between the pair of electrode units (17), and a control means into which the signal of the resistance value detection means is input, and is characterized in that the frosting state of a frosted part of a heat exchanger, or the like, on which the frost detector (101) is provided is detected on the basis of the duration of the power supply to the heat generation unit (15) and the variation in the resistance value of the wetness-sensing-body pattern.
