Abstract:
A frost formation detector comprises a base (1), a thermal conducting vessel (4) provided on the base (1) and having a frost forming portion, a thermal element (6') for sensing a temperature of the base (1), a protecting tube (8) fitted into the base (1) to be inserted into the thermal conducting vessel (4), a heat insulating body (7) formed integral with the protecting tube (8) to reduce heat conduction to the protecting tube (8), and a thermal element (6) fixedly inserted into the protecting tube (8). The frost formation detector can enhance detection sensitivity of frost formation and has a resistance to environment, such as water resistance, moisture resistance and the like.
