Abstract:
Provided are frozen nigiri-sushi having a simple structure that allows a sushi topping and sushi rice to be simultaneously thawed into a state suitable for eating, and a production method therefor. The frozen nigiri-sushi 10 is frozen in a state in which at least one serving of frozen sushi rice 12 and at least one frozen sushi topping 13 are placed in a container 11 made of a synthetic resin and the container 11 is vacuum-packed. The sushi rice 12 is placed on the bottom of the container 11, and the sushi topping 13 is placed on the sushi rice 12. A first ice pack 17 containing a liquid material in a frozen state therein is placed on the sushi topping 13 such that the first ice pack 17 is in contact with the sushi topping 13 but not in contact with the sushi rice 12. A second ice pack 18 containing a liquid material in a frozen state therein is placed under the bottom part of the container 11. In this state, the frozen nigiri-sushi 10 is vacuum-packed.
