A deaerated/packaged frozen sushi, comprising an internally deaerated, frozen, and sealed soft plastic packaging bag, an upwardly opened plastic box disposed in the bag, a frozen sushi disposed in the box, and a laminated metal foil put on the ingredients of the sushi to cover the exposed faces of the ingredients. The deaerated/packaged frozen sushi is characterized in that the plastic box, the laminated metal foil, and the frozen sushi in the plastic packaging bag are all frozen and formed integrally with each other for cooking by a microwave oven. Vapor produced from the sushi in defrosting flows in a space formed between the sushi, the box, and the bag to heat a cooked rice compact and the ingredients put thereon. Thus, the nonuniformity of temperature of the sushi after defrosting can be reduced, and the sushi can be suitably defrosted by the microwave oven and manufactured by mass production.
