Title:
FRP PRODUCT MANUFACTURING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2021/033740
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention provides a manufacturing method for enabling an FRP product acquired by integrally curing a prepreg which is formed by arraying fibers in a specific direction and which includes a unidirectional prepreg, a cloth prepreg, a tow prepreg, etc., with a chopped-fiber prepreg such as a sheet molding compound to thereby express expected strength by suppressing disturbance of a fiber alignment in a cured portion of prepreg. A manufacturing method according to the present invention includes: (i) a preforming step for preforming an anisotropic prepreg; and (ii) a compression molding step for integrally curing the anisotropic prepreg preformed in the preforming step with a chopped-fiber prepreg within a press mold and acquiring a molded product having a boundary between an aligned fiber reinforced part derived from the anisotropic prepreg and a chopped-fiber reinforced part derived from the chopped-fiber prepreg, wherein disturbance of the fiber alignment in the aligned fiber reinforced part of the molded product acquired in the compression molding step is suppressed through preliminary curing of the anisotropic prepreg before the compression molding step.
