Abstract:
Provided are: a fuel assembly with which safety during the course of fuel production is ensured while using a fuel in which the degree of enrichment of uranium-235 is higher than 5 wt% with the aim of increasing burn-up, and with which recovered uranium after being reprocessed can be used effectively; and a method for producing the fuel assembly. Disclosed is a fuel assembly including a plurality of fuel rods including uranium, the fuel assembly being characterized in that, when e indicates the degree of enrichment of uranium-235, the content ratio of uranium-236 to uranium-235 of at least one fuel rod of the plurality of fuel rods is within a range between formulas (1) and (2).
