Title:
FUEL BATTERY SYSTEM ADAPTABLE TO EMERGENCY CONDITION
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2007/077820
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A fuel battery system adaptable to an emergency condition in which distributed power supplies can be used in connection with a commercial power supply near power demand places. If the fuel system is disconnected from the commercial power supply, it can generate power independently and can start power generation. Avoiding short-circuit accidents in disaster, it can supply power to households and perform safe operation by adequately consume surplus power due to a variation of power consumption by households. A fuel battery system adaptable to an emergency condition comprises a fuel battery adaptable to an emergency condition, a linkage protective device for controlling linkage/disconnection with/from commercial power supply system, a generator for supplying power to start the fuel battery when the fuel battery is disconnected from the commercial power supply system, an outlet for outputting the power from the fuel battery, a hot-water tank for storing a coolant for heat-exchange of the heat produced when the fuel battery generates power, and a load device for consuming the surplus power generated by the fuel battery over the power consumption used by households.
