Abstract:
The electric power supplied to a power load (24) is detected, and a current (iFc) produced from the fuel cell (7) is controlled based on a load power signal (701) that corresponds to the detected result. A reformed raw material (41), a reformed fuel (42) and the amount of air supply (43) are controlled based on the output current (iFc), to obtain a fuel cell output that varies with the change in the power load. When the power load (24) is a light load, the output of the fuel cell is also supplied to a heating unit (10) to heat the fuel cell so that the current (iFc) from the fuel cell will not decrease. Since the output current does not decrease, the electrode voltage of the fuel cell (7) is prevented from excessively rising, and the electrodes are prevented from being deteriorated.
