Abstract:
A fuel cell system that includes: a battery; fuel cells that generate power in accordance with a load; an inverter that converts the power output from the fuel cells into AC power, and supplies this power to a motor; and a converter that uses power output from the battery to control the voltage between the inverter and the fuel cells. This fuel cell system also includes: a voltage control unit that controls the converter such that the voltage between the inverter and the fuel cells does not fall below a lower limit value for the inverter voltage; and a lower limit voltage control unit that, when the requested power for the motor increases, lowers the voltage between the inverter and the fuel cells to lower than the lower limit value for the inverter voltage.
