Abstract:
Provided is a fuel cell system formed by a fuel cell (10) and a converter (11) which is arranged between the fuel cell and a high voltage system and sets the output voltage upper limit of the fuel cell. The fuel cell system includes: a fuel gas supply stop means (201) which stops supply of a fuel gas to a fuel cell in an intermittent operation mode; a remaining fuel gas amount judgment means (202) which judges whether more fuel gas than can generate electricity is remaining in the fuel cell; a converter drive means (203) which is used, if the judgment is Yes, to drive the converter so that the output voltage upper limit of the fuel cell is a first voltage V1 which can avoid degradation of the fuel cell; and a converter stop means (204) which stops the converter if the judgment is No.
