Abstract:
In the present invention, a fuel cell system is provided with a warming-up control unit for warming up a fuel cell by supplying power to auxiliary devices and a heater when the fuel cell is started below zero. The warming-up control unit comprises a water quantity-computing unit for computing the quantity of water generated in an electrolyte film while the temperature of the fuel cell is increased up to the freezing point on the basis of the wettability and temperature of the fuel cell and the generated power during warming up. The present invention also comprises a freezing prevention control unit for increasing the ratio of power supplied to the heater relative to the auxiliary devices when the quantity of water generated exceeds the threshold value.
