Abstract:
 A fuel cell system (A) is provided with: a fuel cell stack (10); a cooling water-supplying tube (51) linked to a cooling water channel of the fuel cell stack to become a cooling water circulation passage; a radiator (53) disposed within the cooling water-supplying tube; a radiator bypass tube (54) for allowing cooling water to bypass the radiator, the radiator bypass tube (54) being disposed within the cooling water-supplying tube; a cooling water pump (52) disposed within the cooling water-supplying tube; a thermostat valve (55) for controlling the amount of cooling water supplied to the radiator and to the radiator bypass tube in accordance with the temperature; a case (56) for enclosing the thermostat valve; an ion-exchanger (58) disposed within the radiator bypass tube; and an air conditioner (60) for supplying a heat transfer medium to the case. In the fuel cell system, the temperature of the heat transfer medium within the case is controlled by the air conditioner, whereby the temperature of the thermostat valve is regulated and the amount of cooling water supplied to the radiator and to the radiator bypass tube is controlled.
