Abstract:
When the amount of power that can be outputted by a rechargeable battery is less than a minimum amount of power required by an oxidant gas supply unit to increase the amount of gas to be supplied thereby from zero to a prescribed supplying gas flow-rate, within a prescribed period of time, a fuel cell system adjusts the flow rate of the gas to be supplied so that the oxidant gas supply unit will supply an excessive gas flow-rate that is greater than a target gas flow-rate required by the fuel cell for achieving a target current value, and controls a flow-rate adjustment valve so that a bypassing flow-rate will become the same as the difference between the excessive gas flow-rate and the target gas flow-rate required by the fuel cell.
