Title:
FUEL CELL VEHICLE HEATING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2012/002105
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Disclosed is a fuel cell vehicle heating device provided with: a fuel cell which generates electricity by means of the chemical reaction between oxygen and hydrogen; a cathode exhaust passage which supplies introduced external air to a cathode electrode of the fuel cell in order to be used in the electricity generating reaction, and through which air exhausted by the fuel cell passes; and an anode exhaust passage through which the hydrogen exhausted from the fuel cell passes. The device is further provided with a branched passage which branches from a branching point in the cathode exhaust passage, and which supplies the air exhausted from the fuel cell to a vehicle compartment; and the flow of the anode exhaust passage is mixed with the cathode exhaust passage further to the down stream side than the branching point. Thus, the exhaust hydrogen gas in the anode exhaust of the fuel cell is diluted to a concentration not greater the lower flammability limit, and the waste heat from the fuel cell system is used, and an air-cooling type fuel cell system can be used, as it is, to heat the inside of a vehicle compartment.
