Abstract:
This fuel cell is provided with: a membrane electrode assembly that forms a catalysis plane region; a gas diffusion layer that is arranged on a main surface of the membrane electrode assembly; a separator that is arranged on a main surface of the gas diffusion layer; and a conduction member which is arranged outside the catalysis plane region between the gas diffusion layer and the separator, and electrically connects the gas diffusion layer and the separator with each other. This fuel cell is also provided with a penetration resistance reducing means which makes the penetration resistance between the gas diffusion layer and the separator passing through the conduction member smaller than the penetration resistance between the gas diffusion layer and the separator in the catalysis plane region.
