Abstract:
This fuel consumption estimation system is provided with: a speed profile calculation unit (24) that calculates a speed profile (451) indicating changes in the speed of an automobile traveling on a travel route (411); a speed disturbance calculation unit (232) that, on the basis of disturbance information indicating a disturbance event occurring in the travel route (411) and travel history information (111) gathered from the automobile traveling on the travel route (411), calculates a decrease rate, which is the rate at which the speed of the automobile traveling on the travel route (411) decreases, as a speed disturbance correction coefficient (321); and a fuel consumption calculation unit (263) that uses the speed profile and the speed disturbance correction coefficient (321) to calculate the fuel consumption of the automobile traveling on the travel route (411).
