Abstract:
A decomposition means of hydro-carbon fuel for vehicle engine includes a cylindrical housing which inlet and outlet connected with exhaust pipe of the engine and surroundings respectively, and straight tubes longitudinally provided in the catalytic bed of the housing. A gasification chamber and a vapor chamber are provided in the housing close to the said inlet end. The catalyst encircles said tubes and is heated by the heat of the exhaust flowing said tubes. The hydro-carbon fuel, such as methanol, entering the vapor chamber from the gasification chamber, decomposes in the catalytic bed. The present invention characterized in that flange plates are fitted both in the out of the said tubes.
